Rev. Dr. Kim Biery
Associate Pastor
The Reverend Dr. Kim Biery has been in ministry in the Hutchinson community since 1990. She’s worked in ministry at First Christian Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, and Park Place Christian Church. She is now back at Trinity serving as an Associate Pastor. She has also been a volunteer hospital chaplain for over 30 years. Kim grew up in Haven, Kansas. Before being called by God, she managed the Hutchinson Long John Silvers restaurant. She has been married to her husband, Bud, for over 39 years.

They have two sons, Kenny and Michael. Her favorite hobbies include hanging out at coffee shops and collecting cool bags. She has recently become a flower gardener and loves to prune her flowers to make room for new growth—both in the garden and her soul.
Kim is a cancer survivor and presently leads a cancer support group in the community. She co-leads the “Hope” cancer support group with Amy Bretz. This group is for women and meets at Trinity on the second Tuesday of every month. It is sponsored by the Hospital, the Clinic, and the Cancer Council of Reno County.
Kim’s passion is helping people thrive through crisis. Her doctoral dissertation was entitled “Enhancing Resiliency: The Ability to Recover from Life’s Setbacks.” She strives to help others be resilient and bounce back after life’s challenges.
