CARE

Prayer Ministry

Picture
Prayer is an important part of living abundantly through life trials and tribulations. Jesus said that “WHEN” you pray not “IF” you pray that he would be our guide and provider. Our pastors and Care Ministry servants would like to join you on your journey.

HOW CAN WE PRAY FOR YOU?

Baptism

Picture
Baptism is a holy meaningful occasion, an outward in visible sign of an inward and Spiritual Grace.
Through baptism the individual of any age is initiated into the Christian church through the grace of God. Trinity accepts the baptism of any other
Christian church and welcomes all baptized individuals into membership if they desire. When infants or others who cannot answer for themselves are baptized, then their parent or sponsor responds to the baptismal vows for them.

“Brothers and sisters in Christ: through the Sacrament of Baptism we are initiated in the Christ’s holy church. We are incorporated into God’s mighty acts of salvation and given new birth through water in the Spirit. And this is God’s gift, offered to us without price.” The United Methodist Hymnal, p. 33
Please contact our Pastors at the church, 620-665-5547 to find out more information.

Weddings

Picture
We welcome the opportunity to share with you in the sacred and special moments of planning and preparation for your wedding. Weddings at Trinity United Methodist
Church are performed for church members and family members of church members, as requested. The Pastors and staff of Trinity United Methodist Church assume that your decision to request our church is your affirmation that the wedding ceremony is a sacred event that occurs in the context of worship.
Following your initial conversation with the Church Administrator, Trinity’s Pastor’s will make the final decision regarding his/her availability to officiate your wedding. Once your wedding has been scheduled, you’ll also be asked to contact the officiating Pastor to arrange for premarital counseling sessions. A minimum of three premarital counseling sessions are required prior to your wedding date.
Please call Faye Summervill at 620-665-5547 for more details.

Funerals

Picture
Whether death comes as a sudden, unexpected shock, or following an extended illness, we are never completely prepared. You are not alone. God, who loves you more than you can imagine, who knows
your grief intimately, who has made Himself known to us in Jesus Christ, to share our griefs, our suffering, even our death, so that we might share in His Resurrection and be one with Him, is with you – whether or not you feel His presence. This is God’s promise to you and your loved ones.
Please call the church office, 620-665-5547, to inform us of your loss and remember that we are praying for you and your family. Our pastors and staff would also be honored to provide the service for your loved one here at the church, at the funeral home or graveside depending on the family’s decision.

Here are a few scripture passages that have been used by Christians for comfort and encouragement in times of grief. Here are some of the most frequently used:

  • Isaiah 40: 1-8, 28-31; Isaiah 43: 1-7; Isaiah 55: 1-3, 6-13
  • Psalms: 23; 42; 43; 46; 90; 91; 103; 116; 121; 130; 139; 145; 146
  • Matthew 5: 4; Matthew 11: 25-30
  • Luke 24: 13-35

MEMORIAL GARDEN & COLUMBARIUM

Picture
In the spring of 2018, the first wall of our columbarium was built. Located in the beautiful memorial garden area of our Main Street courtyard, this space offers a peaceful place for the cremains of Trinity church family members who have gone before us.
What better place to be laid to rest than in the arms of your church? If you would like to discuss the purchase of niches, contact Faye Summervill, Church Administrator, in the church office.
You can also purchase an engraved memorial brick to honor a loved one, friend, family member, or yourself. These engraved bricks make up the outer level of blond bricks in the garden. Bricks are $100.00 each.
