MEET OUR STAFF
Jason Probst
Director of Circles Reno County
At the beginning of May 2023, I began as Executive Director of Circles Reno County, which is an outreach ministry of Trinity that focuses on inspiring and equipping people living in Reno County to resolve poverty and thrive through effective relationships.
Previously, I worked as a designer, reporter, and eventually led the editorial team at The Hutchinson News. The staff won numerous awards for reporting on local and state government, environmental issues, investigative stories, as well as agricultural and community journalism.
I like to stay involved in our community and state. I am a member of the Kansas Geological Survey Advisory Committee (Kansas geology is fascinating!), the Governor’s Council on Travel and Tourism, and the Governor’s Council on Wildfire. I also serve as a board member for the Hutchinson Milestone Club and as Vice-Chair of Biking Across Kansas.
During the winter months, I travel to Topeka where I represent the 102nd District in the Kansas House of Representatives. I also serve on the House Commerce, Labor, and Economic Development and Agriculture Committees.
When I’m not working or hanging out with my son, Mitch, daughter, Erica, or granddaughters, Lila and Violet, there's a good chance you'll find me riding my bicycle! I enjoy reading good books and writing about current events or interesting places in Kansas. I also enjoy cooking — and eating!
